Mom's Blunder

So, as you know, Joshua lost his first tooth a while back. His second tooth has been somewhat loose, but not showing any signs of giving way. Over the past two weeks, I noticed that he has been chewing on his shirts (I mean one time the shirt was completely soaked down the front.). My first thought was something was going on with him emotionally (possibly nerves from starting a new school), so we have been talking a lot about school and his new friends. Well, last night Joshua was playing in his room and he put a stuffed animal in his mouth. When he pulled it out...let's just say the tooth is very close to coming out now. It scared him since it was pretty painful and also started to bleed. He fell asleep last night with the cold washcloth still between his teeth. This morning the tooth is still hanging in there, but I'm guessing should fall out today at school.

I should have made the connection between his new "teething" and chewing of his shirts. That is how he made it through his teething as a toddler.
