Joshua's First Campout

Joshua was invited to a Birthday Campout Party. It was to be at the Lake Shawnee Campground, but due to weather it was moved to the backyard at Davis's house. The party included...walking tacos, brats, and hotdogs, pin-the-balloon-on-the-fire truck, an obstacle course (which Joshua won second place!!), running around the yard in the dark with glow sticks, birthday cake that wa actually little flames (small ice cream cones filled with cake topped with orange and red and yellow frosting to resemble the flame), and sleeping in the tents in the backyard. Since it never stopped raining everyone's tents had leaked to some extent through the night. In the morning, we all woke up and had pancakes for breakfast. Then more playing with friends and then home. Joshua took a 3 hour nap once we arrived back home. It was a very enjoyable first camping trip for Joshua and myself.
