First Kindergarten Field Trip-Fire Station

Joshua had his first kindergarten field trip today. They went to the fire station in Meriden. Everyone had lots of fun. He was really excited when I got to ride the bus with him. The kids all sat and listened to the firemen talk about fire safety in the home. It was cute when one little girl stated "My dad took the batteries out of our fire alarm. So it's not safe." One of the firemen told her to tell her dad to go buy some and put them in.

The firemen came into the room in full gear, with air tanks running (so the kids wouldn't be scared if they saw them or heard them in a real fire). They even had the kids practice screaming to let the firemen know where they are at in the fire. Let me tell you...they can scream!!

They also demonstrated how the firemen would get them out of a fire and not to be afraid.
