January 26th-Doctor Appointment

Joshua went for a follow-up appointment with his asthma specialist. His test went very well. For now we continue with all medications, however, the daily inhaler is being reduced for the time being. Joshua was able to do a new test called a Niox test. This test is new to the US and most insurance companies will not cover the cost, luckily, it only costs $40. This Niox test allows the doctors to more accurately dose medications. Our doctor used this test, along with the regular tests, and his diary since October, to reduce the medication. We will continue with the diary and other medications. Our next follow-up is in July (also a good sign since before we were on every 3 months).
